Angela grew up in the South of Germany. In 1978, after finishing her exams as a nurse in Munich, she acquired a book which gave her a clear presentation of the Gospel. After reading this book, Angela gave her life to the Lord and her adventures with Christ began.

In 1979, Angela joined YMCA in Munich and received a solid Christian training, helping her grow in her relationship with God and grow in servanthood. Then, in the fall of 1983, she attended a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) at the castle in Hurlach. At the beginning of her DTS she recognized that her connection to YWAM was the fulfillment of a prayer she had expressed to the Lord two years earlier during a missions conference in Berlin. At this conference she declared her willingness to God to go wherever He would send her- now she knew this was a calling to YWAM.

In the years following, Angela served as a DTS staff and co-leader and led several short term mission outreaches to different nations. In between she was in charge of hospitality for a season. For 3 years she ran the personnel department, and worked in counseling. In 1988, she enrolled in the basic course for biblical counseling at the University of the Nations (UofN) in England. During a counseling seminar in December 1989, she surprisingly received a clear call to prayer ministry.

In response to this calling, Angela decided to attend the first School of Intercession, Worship and Spiritual Warfare at the UofN in Lausanne the following year. Then, in 1992, after pioneering this school in Scotland, she came to YWAM in Altensteig, Germany in order to multiply the school in the German speaking world. While in Altensteig, Angela met her future husband. You can read on in ‘History of HWM’, how the story continued.
As a single woman Angela served with short term mission teams, as guest speaker in YWAM schools and with intercession teams in USA, Egypt, Israel, India, Switzerland, Spain, Scotland, the Philippines, Chile, and Bulgaria.
